Title: Profile Grumman TBF warbird drawings
Post by: Don Hutchinson AMA5402 on August 23, 2009, 10:14:41 PM
The TBF drawings are finished and ready to ship. Looks really cool and should be a fine flyer. This will probably be the last warbird until inspiration strikes again!

Send Don an email or PM and he'll send you a list, at least that's what he did for me.

To all that want a good looking and good flying profile that doesn't look like every thing else, Dons T-6 is a outstanding plane and I have seen his Dauntlass fly and it is also a good flyer. I think all of his designs will be very capable planes.

Gez Joe, you're making me blush!Aboit how many flights do you have on the T-6 with the balsa doublers and are you seing any signs of fatigue or stress cracking? Thanks to Elwyn Aud for the great photo.

On the third engine the Satio has made it a outstanding flier. That poor old plane has hundreds and hundreds of flights and no stress cracks around wing or nose.

Hey Don. If you still have the TBF plans i would like a set. The TBM in the cavenaugh air museum once belonged to my partner. At that time it was in pacific colors and wore a fish hook on the tail. It was in Close encouters of the third kind and Bermuda secrets. I spent many hours working on this bird and lucky for me a few flying her.
