Title: LA 25 dementions
Post by: LARRY RICE on April 09, 2007, 10:33:21 PM
I am designing a plane for a LA 25 engine and I need to know the motor mount spacing so that I can accurately locate the motor mounts.
Thank You
Larry

Larry: Check the engine forum under engine dimentions. It's listed in the attachment.

You can also go to the Tower Hobbies site and get the dimensions from the Tech Notes for the LA25.  Glen

Thank you all for your help, I have them now.
Larry
PS
I can not go to Tower or any of the warehouse type hobby stores or their web sites. I had a big hobby store many years ago, selling lots of Control Line products, renting a local field for control line flying and working with hobbyist and allowing them to use my shop to build their models and much more. The discount stores drove me out of business and almost killed control line. I want nothing to do with those sons of %$^#&s.
Sorry.

from towers web site

Width: 29mm width of engine neglecting engine mounting flanges.
36mm distance between the centers of mounting holes.
          Height: 74.5mm

and a link to the manual

If you are using CAD, there are LA 25 CAD objects out there.

Gee, and I thought we were going to get to hear about an LA25 whose head turned around 360 degrees while grinning satanically at us! >:D
