The failing that we often have with this discussion is that people are used to assuming that "efficient" = "better" when in stunt it's arguably the opposite.
I gave up trying to have sensible discussions about power, thrust, and props on SSW in about 2003! It's impossible because there are so many ingrained notions about it, and nobody likes the actual definition of power.

Yep, much of the confusion/problem comes from most modern motors have so much power reserve, and you can get "thrust" in so many different configurations, from Small diameter props running faster/harder, and large diameter props running slower but making huge amounts of thrust. and many people think that excess speed is more power, many times it is not. We have all seen the same motors setup completely different, with pitch, diameter, nitro etc all in very different states. All of this makes is impossible to talk apples to apples , managing power vs drag , and power delivery is the key, and there are more ways than one to do that.
