Title: DOODLEBUG 330
Post by: Ed OBrien on October 03, 2019, 04:35:57 PM
Anybody know where I can get a set of plans? I have a PAW 2.5 cc diesel looking for employment. If you do, how much will it take to obtain a copy of two?

I assume you are asking about the Netzeband Doodlebug.  Bill published several versions.  The AMA plans service does not list any of these.  The first was in the March 2002 issue of Flying models with a Fox .40, 42 inch span and 580 sq in.

The next versions were published in the February 2003 issue of Flying Models.  These were for the Norvel engines from the .049 to the .074.  Plans are shown for three versions from 22 inches to 28 inches, areas of 168, 207, and 256 sa in.

The AMA plans service can make copies of these articles.  You also might talk to them to see if they will enlarge the plans in the magazines to the size you want.

It looks like Walter Umland now has the Tulsa Time assets for the various Doodlebug sizes:  https://stunthanger.com/smf/builtrightflyright-com/tulsa-time-model-kits/

Thanks for the tip. I'm on it. This is becoming like the quest for the Holy Grail. It may be unobtainable, but the harder it is rthe more fun it is. I think! Thanks again.
