Having designed two full-body electric stunters, I've learned one valuable lesson:

LESSON #1.  Always assume that your battery mfgr. will go out of production, and nothing else available will fit.  Therefore, make that fuselage plenty BIG so that alternate power sources will not obsolete your model.

Probably a bit late into this discussion but in my opinion you were already 90% there a few years ago. I think a full fuselage version of the RMD would be perfect for electric.   y1
