with unlimited fuel we could go very very fast. how long of a line can we use say for jet speed class. with a 50/50 mix you may see speeds as hi as 220 mph
-
Joey Id love too see 220mph on our lines the only hassle is we are restricted too the shorter 19.9m lines due to the diameter of the circle... Thats why I'm gonna too love flying on your longer lines ;D when I am over there.
Robert
-
that is about 65'-2 3/4" should be intresting to see if a 310 lb man can run around the pole that fast.
-
If you do Joey I'll have a cold beer waiting for you afterwards 8)
-
Gentelman: I for one can not wait for this to come off ,I am going to be there. With Joey and Myself its hard to say what will happen but I know it will be fun.. Joey and I have shared a strong friendship and a love for jet so get the food cooking and the beer cold here we GO. JB
-
the name of our game is mph and he who has the most of them is the big dog. this will be by far the most looked fwd to contest i have ever attened. 50/50 fuel on a short skinny wire this is going to be scary fast.lenny, doc, earl, jerry, gordy and ned will all be watching with a smile on there faces
-
We will get the food ready and the cold beers flowing to keep Joey's legs pumpin around the pylon >:D Joey we also have a few other classes you might be interested in. Our class 4 which is 60 speed same lenght lines as the jet and the fuel is also unrestricted ~^ So as you can tell the possibilities are endless what you might get up too.

Me to Jim, if big enough pot I could take several people with me just to see what their summers are like down under. Have fun guys, DOC Holliday
-
It would be a fantastic thing if you could win the lottery Jim and Doc the more the merrier down here. Just one note though just give yourself plenty of time too see this beautiful country it takes more than a week .. 8)
Too see what our country looks like check the net or watch some of the fantastic movies made here eg
The Last Samuri made here in Taranaki.. THe Lord of the Rings and the first part of the Fastest Indian
Its not long till the 3 of us kiwis will be coming over for your nats too share ideas and have some fun

I remember in 2004 Muncie Worlds a member of the New Zealand team showing me a picture of a mountain supposedly in his back yard. I still marvel at the scenes in Lord of the Rings. But, as they say I have to buy a lottery ticket to win, but, I keep investing in more airplane stuff. DOC Holliday

Whats the distance from the pole4 to the edge of the concrete ? about 70 ft ? ?
OOPS . thats the Taranaki circle . sorry .
-
Mat the distance is 71.5 feet so I can do some practice on the long lines before I go to the US nats this year. Just got too remember to hang onto the pylon.
Also Thanks Adrian for writing up the links too the rules I hope you can get your goodyears/speed model finished so you too can join in the fun?? For the latest NASS sportjet rules please download them from this web page
