Two-Way Stunt Speed at The 2019 Brodak
« on: June 13, 2019, 05:03:27 PM »
This a participation event intended as an alternative to the machinists' event, Fox 35 Stunt Speed.

This event allows only stock plain bearing engines of the 36-class.  There is no venturi or wing area limit, but the airplane MUST do 7 laps in each direction during each flight.

Experts are defined as those who have gone over 100 MPH in any speed event.  As shown by the numbers, the experts didn't have a problem with this format.

EXPERT

CT Schaefer,  82.45 MPH
Paul Smith, 82.1 MPH
Bob Whitney, 81.9
Al Ferraro, 79.8

SPORTSMAN

Clyde Richey, 75 MPH
Skip Chernoff, 68.4 MPH
Dave Hallas, 23.8 seconds
Don Sopka,  28.10 seconds

I used a profile P-40 Warhawk with a K&B 35 Greenhead.  I also had "Navy" themed model of the same size, also with aGreenhead that wasn't as fast.  The other three had somewhat smaller purpose-built models.

The Sportsman winner had an old Clown Racer (15-size) with Fox 35 Stunt.
