I'm looking for some prop recommendations for my just acquired Perky speed model powered by a FOX .15 schnurle.
I'm thinking an APC 7x6?
Anybody know or have experience that can lead to a few sizes to try?
Thanks!

The 7 x 6 is good for a safe start.
In general the typically-recommended prop for a .15 is a 7 x 6, but it under revs the engine and does not give the highest speed.
Maybe you will scuff the prop on takeoff. Then you can cut it down and balance it an probably go faster.
The winning speeds in Perky are done with RPM in the 25,000+ range. Do you know the RPM of your engine?

Static RPM reads 17,200 running slightly rich on a test run. Might go better with a bit more running.

That sounds good enough.
Test fly it and see how it goes. Good speed is attained with higher RPM.
High RPM reduces engine life while putting better numbers on the scoreboard.
This is the essence of all motorsports.

"Go for the win...or go home!"
I'm liking the bragging rights to the average speed hardware!
Thanks

The APC 6.5x5 is also a good prop to play with.

The 2020/2021 Average is currently 103.14 with only nine scores in the book. But we have eight months to go. Hopefully this will be a better year.
