We have tachometers and stopwatches.  RPM and MPH.  Cause and effect.

How about some prop numbers like Dia. and pitch @ 50% Dia.

I know what you mean.  Modern F2D props are sold without pitch & diameter numbers.  Just colors and the name of the user.  As in green Chorneys.

I guess somebody with a Kilsdonk pitch gauge could go into the business of aftermarket prop numbering.

  #1,2,3,4,5,6.  OH DIA IS  6 IN CAN BE STREATCHED TO 61/4 IN.  PITCH IS 5 AT 50 % OF BLADE  ACTUALLY 5 ALL HE WAY OUT

  this is the same prop that was used on the winning goodyear at the nats last year
