Title: Perky & Fox at Middlesex Oct. 24
Post by: C.T. Schaefer on October 25, 2021, 04:56:50 AM
It was a great day for flying. Cool with light breeze.  All 3 contestants got it some good flights.  Besides our flyers we had a great group of members who timed and helped to start the planes. All led by our chief timer Doug Bennedetti.
After a couple of tuning passes Al Ferraro put up a solid flight of   116.95 with his Super Fora powered Ross Special Perky.
Schaefer struggled to find a good needle and, maybe should have tried a different prop but finally sqeezed out a decent  111,21 from the Nova Rossi
Perhaps the most satisfying action of the day was Ernie Evon's latest  Cox Conquest Special which ran a personal best of  108.27

There were only 2 Fox entries.  Al turned in a nice sounding run for a speed of  106.5.  Schaefer worked hard to put up a 103.6.  Back to the lab for that one!

We have one more meet scheduled for November 14.   TS

  It’s a straight mini-pipe, under 6” in length.
