Title: oct dallas contest
Post by: Joey Mathison 9806 on October 24, 2010, 05:08:30 AM: steve perkins 152.22, joey mathison 151.97, patrick hempel 147.78 and he has one att left both steve and i have used up our sport jet atts. getting ready to head out for some more jet flying.

Post by: Joey Mathison 9806 on October 25, 2010, 02:58:37 PM: Patrick will have to chime in here to correct my mistakes as i did not wright the results down. patrick started the day with a clean sport jet run of 147.97 the fast jet times are a bit foggy perkins had a bunch of flights at 182 patrick was at 188 and i had a 193.47 .

As you can see, these aren't your Super Squirt/DynaJets of the fifties era. That roll of wire on one of the planes is 70 feet(handle to C/L) of monoline, whick is now .033 in. diameter.... It is thicker than a lot of pushrods we use!
