Well we have been previledged to have Patrick over here in NZ again. The weather has been playing ball and so far we have had him flying teamrace, Fishing and later on in the week he will be out spot lighting possums. Of course he has reaquinted himself with a old friend Tui Beer..

Now I get it! Patrick has just been toying around with us Dallas racers so he can go to NZ and show off! At the last DMAA meeting, Patrick showed his trick plane caddy for airline travel, a modified bicycle box. Looks like he got all his jets, equipment over there ok. Patrick has become the genuine globe trotter, a great ambassador for all of us. Thanks Patrick! Looks like you're having fun, dg

I'm jealous,

Sure looks like Patrick and you guys had a lot of fun making a lot of noise if that pack of jets had anything to do with it.  Wish it could have been me there.  Just takes more money than I can scrape up.  How fast did who go?  Looks like some fast equipment and fast company.

Is that the same Dave Ackery that flies (flew?) F1B and other FAI FF events? I sat near him at a banquet at the Sierra Cup in Rancho Cordova in '81 or so. Good dude...put up with a lot of sillyness from Lee Hines and myself! Glider fliers get goofy after running in circles all day long in the hot sun. Maybe the grog had some wee little bit to do with that?

I've heard of NZ trout...wow, that's a beaut!  LL~ Steve

Steve yes that is Dave A of FF fame..  Still very active in FF and Dabbles a bit ( more than a bit ) in CL

On the fish its a red snapper (salt water) and boy did it taste good. Patrick caught 12 eaters so plenty of fish was shared around.. not too sure how many were throwing back for being undersize??
