I recall a few years back mention of someone casting some new (repop) speed pans in aluminum.
Seems there were full length for A, B, C; and 1/2 lengths of B & C...
Anybody remember this? I need some for B Team Race, this site seems 'appropo'.
Thanks...

dont know of anyone making B-TR pans but most have gotten away from pans in B-TR because of the extra weight,

Hi, Bob. I'm doing a couple up mainly for aesthetics, so that upper polished aluminum cowling has really seduced me!
If I had to fly a race, it would do me in... so, purely for the classic presentation, rather than to be competitive...

Andrew Nugent in Australia makes a 21 sized pan that might suit your needs. Find his ad on the second to last page of Australian CL News: http://dkd.net/clmodels/acln/acln171.pdf
I remember seeing someone in the USA advertise pans recently, but I can't find it here. Might have been in NCLRA newsletter or the Delphi NASS forum.

i do have a couple of thr old FAI F2C Pans that might work if u grind them out ,they are set up for a 2 inch wide fuse just like B-TR

I think we have a couple old Tatone aluminum B Proto half-pans in a box of assorted junk at the hobby shop where I work. If we do, you're welcome to them. I'll check tomorrow.

Just what I was seeking.

i dont believe the tatone proto pan is a full 2 in wide , you are welcome to the TR pans that i have

I do have 2 Tatone B Proto pans. They are new and un-drilled. Bob is right in that they are only 1 7/8" wide. I can put them in a USPS flat rate box for about $6.00. You can have them for the cost of shipping if you like. Send me a PM with your address.

Thanks, Bill...
And thank you, Bob.
Bill, These will do fine, 1.875" will be indiscernable, visually. (I don't intend to enter it in official Team Racing, but will likely fly it for an 'exhibition'...)
On receiving them, Excellent! Postage sent.
Bob, these 2" will go on the Team Racers I have plans for. (one is the Galaxy, from plans I got from Mate Rob Cranfield, from Down Unda.)
A nice collection of friends contributed to these projects. Never thought I'd see pans again...Thank You, all.
