Today at the Northwest Regionals at Eugene, Oregon, Mr. Luke Roy raised the bar in A Speed with a 188.8 mph backed up with a 188.6 mph. This has all the other guys hunting for a bit of speed with two more days of great weather ahead.

Joey,
Yes the ol Cajun was really hopping. He did it just fine. He said he was pretty whipped after each flight but he did it. He'll be 72 later this month. His practice with a rotation trainer has surely paid off. His speed was several mph faster than he ever did on the 60 ft lines. Way to go Luke!

Thanks for the good words, I think! Broke the A record 3 times in 08 only to have my close buddy, Jerry Rocha, come out behind me and break it again. At least he lets me fly first. ;)
Rick Berrier still in your part of the world?

Make that 07. I am loaded up on vicodin for a pinched nerve in my neck. Not exactly a fun thing.

and now the monk has it at 190 and change. looks like wallick has figured out how to save up the record air and release it on contest day. jet bill also bumped the sj mark up to 156.60

Congrats to JB #^ It wont be long before 160mph is on the cards

anyone have the ocala results?

Just read the results of the Bill Nusz Speed Meet with great disappointment. Does appear that the same old argument from the December Contest still holds. Don't think they have a clue as to the proper methods for calculating speeds. Sorry to say the average comeback is "Why worry? It only makes a little difference." With this logic in place, I guess I could use 12% Nitro cause "it will only make a little difference?"

Sport jet record is 158:80 mph I broke it twice that day.. Butch Andrews also broke the 150 Mark as Did Dave Wallick and His son Matt who took the regional record. JB

Luke maybe one of these years we can have a contest in socal run by the rule book like the one jerry puts on in napa. it would be nice if that were to happen but i am sad to say that the whitter contests are more of a social gathering than a legit contest. i know other areas are pulling the same crap but that is another battle. why is it so hard to follow the rule book?
