Today was our first meet of the season. Breezy and about 55 degrees. We had 3 flyers and completed 12 official flights
 Results:  Ferraro    105.8
           Evon       104
           Schaefer   112.9
We also got one Fox in the air. First time out with new motor/plane combo   82.2   Still needs a bit of tuning.
Looking forward to our next match on May 3.
PS   We also discovered that it is a bit more work to fly these things than a year or two ago!

Yesterday was our second meet of the season. It was quite windy but the little speed jobs did fine! Not a ton of flying but all had a good time.
Perky:  Ernie was the only conestant and turned in a speed of 101 with his Cox powered ship.
Fox Speed   Jim flew his Whipsaw for the first time in a couple of years and got a respectable  104.2 after a couple of needle adjustments
Tom  almost caught up  with 103.4
Tom also flew his 'other' ship, a retired B team racer test bed, 83.7 with a badly clipped on takeoff prop. Sounded fast!!
Next meet scheduled for May 31.    YS

This day turned out to be a bit lazy but we did get to fly Ernie's new E-Perky! I was a bit nervous about the first flight but she came off the ground and settled in to a comfortable groove. Maybe not as fast as hoped for but a good place to start!  64mph
We also flew Ernies Cox powered ship with a best of  100mph.  We will be at it again in the fall.  TS

OK, scores noted and recorded.

64 seems like about what mine did, by my estimate.

Motorman

Was that 64 mph in the air or an average from a standing start? Was it at full song when you released it?
Wasted words ain't never been heard. Alman Brothers

64 was standing start 16 laps. Motor full song and a bit slow coming off the ground. Need more cowbell!

Dennis Toth

CT,
Was it counter clockwise (tractor) or clockwise (pusher) prop?

Best,   DennisT

The rules mandate an APC 6x6.  I will try a 7x6 to see how much it helps.
According to Bad Ass performance charts, 7x7 will give the best power and speed, at some danger to the electo-bits.
