Speed has lost another flyer Fred Margarido. Fred and his wife Joyce were a main stay on the west coast and one of the ones to beat in A with their Rossi ship when everyone else were using the RV Super tigre
rad racer

Bob

oh crap...................

I know both Fred and Joyce

used to fly together out in CA when I was stationed at Castle.
Also used to fly with Frank Hunt. Flew almost every weekend with them.
They all got me into speed and taught me how to fly with mono line.
Flew jet and A speed with them in WAM

Carl

Am going to have to give Joice a call.
just have to find their number again

Called their number a couple days ago and got their answering machine. Left a message for calling me back.

Got a call back from Joyce while I was at work this evening. (still there right now)

She is getting along ok.  She hasn't returned any calls over the last 2 weeks after Fred's passing.
Fred had been ill for the past couple years (I forgot with what) and he passed due to the complications of the illness.

Fred sent me one of his speed handles a few years back when I started building a 1/2 speed ship.
That handle I will never get rid of. Too many memories of him and me as well using it back in the 70's in north central CA.
I used that handle to learn with his and Frank Hunts help.

Anyways, will close for now and hope you speed folks keep him and his family in your prayers.
