I have finished my Fox 35 speed model for the St Louis speed contest next weekend. It has a stock Fox 35 Stunt with an OS Needle valve and was scratch built from my own plans. With a simple fiberglass finish I let the balsa wood color come thru. I normally build large CL scale models so this was a departure from my normal CL model so this should be interesting.
The overall weight came in at 15 ounces and has an original Veco wheel that probably matches the date of the Fox 35 Stunt
Looking forward to getting a test flight in this week and see what it can do! Hope to see everyone there, it's always a great time at the contest

Well I guess you haven't got home yet to post the results. Hope you had better weather than we did here in Kansas.

That doesn't look like a Skyray, Flitestreak, Ringmaster, or similar model.

The weather was changing hourly but we only had 2 hours of rain on Saturday morning. It was on the windy side but the speed models being flown were not affected by the winds. at one point it was raining, then just overcast, then sunny skies again but we all flew
But when I flew my Fox 35 speed model on Friday the skies opened up during my 2nd flight and I got soaked
10 entries in Perky and 12 in Fox 35 speed. We had a great time and the entire F2A team from last year's world championship was in attendance
Check out our club website for all of the pictures and results, the results of the Fox 35 speed are posted here

Thanks for the link for some great pictures. Looks like you guys faired better than we did in Topeka. Only two racing planes Saturday, but lots of combat. Sunday no flying with high winds.

I'm so bored lately I might just try this. What fuel are you using?

Hey 'Motorman', I have had some fun fooling around with the Fox and would love to scare up some interest to put it on the schedule for one of our meets next season. Gonna try to buzz it around at Brodak if there is any afterhours time. TS - Middlesex Modelers - N.J.

I'll start drawing plans for a Perky35.

You might want to contact Bro Larry Marx over on the "Brotherhood of the Ring" Forum. He had already drawn up a really nice set from which I built a couple of pretty nice birds!!

That's too cool for words man. 8) What engines are they and how fast do they go, what's the wing area?
