Here's the closest thing I've seen to a Perky plan. No idea if it is sized right.
This is the rules: http://www.clspeed.com/sites/default/files/Perky_Rules.pdf

That is THE genuine Perky plan. Just scale it to an 18" wingspan.
Engineering the fuel tank and controls is the challenge of the event. There as many solutions. Mine was to make it like a wood-bottom pan rat.

Perky rules say:
1. The Model must be built to the out line of the original 1946 Megow Perky design. Construction modifications allowed.
I believe people really just do go for the outline, and accomplish it whatever way they prefer.

Bob,
Found a full Black Hawk Perky kit for $25 and bought it. What parts of the kit don't work? Is it just heavy?

my first one started out as a kit .ended up using everything but the fues the two main problems is that the built up wing is thick and there isn't much room to put a decent tank in it, need about 3/4 ounce, I cant post pictures on here as mine are too big. send me your E address and I can send u pictures of mine apart
mine is built in 2 halves top and bottom like a speed ship .both halves built off of hardwood crutchs from Home Depo
