A fellow club member, Ronnie Thompson, flew his Perky today. 2.1 per lap or quicker. I didn't use a timer, but did the old military 1, one thousand, etc. Close enough for me. I think his heart beat was at 120 or so.
I have seen regular speed ships do their thing over the years. Not my bag other than Good Year back in the 70's, but it was impressive. Looking at it one can see how speed ships evolved from it over many years. Lose the tail, one stab/elevator, enclose the engine, use a dolly, but it still looks like it came from the Perky.
