Gee, I'm glad Sparky got things going for us. Thanks, Sparkie!!
As Al reported, we did hold a contest on Sunday. Great conditions if a bit damp. Due to the wet conditions the fellows voted to use stranded lines. Al's time is all legit except his .016 solid lines were a bit longer than required.
Fox .35 1. Al Ferrarro 104.3
2. C.T. Schaefer 103.8
3. Jim Vigani 93.5
4. T. Hampshire 81.25
5. Raul Diaz 66.0
6. Dave Edwards N/T
Perky 1. Raul Diaz 72.85
There were 3 other Perky's on the field but they were not flown. Most of our energy and enthusiasm was expended on the Fox planes. What's the big deal.....The Ringmaster has a Fox and it starts on one flip!!
It was fun to see Tom Hampshire's (normally a stunt guy) Veco Redskin blast around the circle with a very solid engine run and decent speed. I can almost hear the wheels turning in his head. In varying degrees, the 3 top finishers planes did not run 'perfectly' but well enough to be encouraging. Ourselves as well as everybody else who is entered, are looking forward to 'getting it all together' for The Big One at Brodak. Cheers, TS
