All,
I'm laying the ground work for a "BIG BLOCK" speed meet in 2012. Having said that, I need input for a venue.
The idea is this.
D speed
C speed
F-40
Jet fast
Jet Sport
I believe it will take two days and would like to use two circles if possible. The location that will draw the largest participation is what I would like to identify.I realize this is the F2A year, but it's always something. Other than fast jet, this is all "low tech" stuff but fast so lots of us will come out and play.
I'm thinking Whittier, as most of the go fast guys are within a $200.00 ticket from there, or can drive it.
Some of the things needed are.
1. best venue. 2. crew to run it all.3 sponsors. 4. guest of honor.
The guest of honor thing is something I have used for a number of years for the Bladder grabber money meet in Seattle. We have had, Duke Fox, Betty Fox, Henry Nelson, Riley Wooten, Bob Carver, A one time F2D world Champion (have forgotten his name)
I propose Luke Roy as this guy and would like your thoughts. There is time to sort all of this out so anyone who want to help is most welcome.
