Title: Baby Spitfire - NOS Proto Speed
Post by: Dennis Saydak on January 21, 2013, 06:16:50 PM
I recently made some progress on my baby Spitfire. It may be a small 1/2A model but there is lots of work in it. I have to mount the bellcrank and hollow out the fuselage blocks and it will be ready for assembly. My building partner and I have two under construction. Yes, I know the engine is a .051. but it will have a reverse crank .049 for flying. It should be done for flying in the spring. Keith sure did a nice job designing this little jewel.  H^^ H^^

That's a really nice model. I got to fly his Proto Focke Wulf when I was about 8 or 9 years old (1968?), it went pretty fast on a Tee Dee and was easy to fly. The Spitfire looks just as stable.

Dennis, I was never much of a speed flyer but I sure like that Spitfire.
