The model is from about 1946 to 1949, if you post this in "Oldtime Stunt" you will get more information. This is an ignition model as the plan shows the Condenser. You opened the fuselage to get to the batteries in order to change them, they would be in the bottom half and a switch would be located in the side. While Ameco did not last to long Johnnie Cashburn went on to have his own successful company for many years.
Several years ago I use to produce the Ameco Trainer, a profile ignition model, and now we make a few of the old designs, Perky, GloBug and Tethered Trainer.
