Can anyone show a pic of the 'bar' and its fit thru the pylon? (rules state that there's a 'bar' on the handle that 'locks-into' the 'U' head when airborne...)

When Frank Hunt was holding his speed runs in Merced, I never saw a 'bar' on any handles...the guys seemed to set their wrist in the 'U' head.

The bar you refer to is unique to F2A Speed. It makes the line length more consistent and may help discourage whipping (maybe???).

I need to qualify that a bit. Some flyers have used home brewed attachments in AMA Speed to help hold back the model. However, even when they did their wrist was in the yoke as per the AMA rule.

Last time we went out to fly, I 'whipped' my Gee Bee a little...Instant reminder of my age! Feet in the way, Darned near sat down hard...

Is there a pylon I can get with a 'lazy susan' at the bottom to stand on???

Interesting idea, but I think the horsepower required to turn the lazy susan would be extracted from the model, slower rotation. LOL
