This is my personal invite to you to join the National Association of Scale Aeromodelers (NASA).  NASA has been the "scale" Special Interest Group recognized by AMA for 50 years, and is responsible for running the Nats every year.

The primary benefit for NASA members is the Replica newsletter which is published six times a year.  The Replica is a great source of information on what is happening in scale modeling, including both C/L and R/C. 

Also this year, the Control Line NASA Scale Classic is returning in September 2025 in St Louis (hosted by the Lafayette Esquadrille Control Line Club).  More to come on that.
