Scale contest around the Midwest ??
« on: January 14, 2013, 08:35:21 PM »
What scale contests are being held around the Midwest in 2013?

The ones that come to mind are the following:

FCM contest (Muncie) in late Aug 2013 (see event's)
             Nats July 2013
Broken Arrow Sept 2013 - St Louis

Are there any others being planned?

Thanks,
Fred Cronenwett

Been to all 3    FCM was the most fun.  Nats --- High stress and expensive.  Broken Arrow ---Low key but well run and fun.

Our Milwaukee contest in June, while smaller is a good tune up for the Nats.

Don't forget the Brodak fly-in Carmichael, PA. it is 4+hours from Muncie. Last year there were lots of great looking scales in all the classes. Very well attend and ran. Looking forward to making as many scale contest this year as I can.(or should I say "as I can afford")  n~ See ya all there.

Blessings

The Treetown contest at the Aurora, Illinois airport in September has scale as well. I think it is on Sunday of the Labor Day weekend. The flying surface is concrete.
