« on: May 08, 2019, 09:21:44 PM »
Actually a Stunt Model . F2B Even . But some of you might figure that out .
However , It IS Scale . But a trifle disproportionate in places .  :-X But we wont tell anyone that . Will We ! .

THAT is not actually a model aeroplane . Im thinking it might be real .

Right , here we go .
All those little bits inside em are already cut . So knock out . After Sheeting . Though it was gunna bee cap strips , were #*^@! of holes in tissue .

Seen this somewhere before . Custom Lucky Boxes & 5/32 in. Wire Flap Actuator ( Horn ) ends . Tapered to 1`/16 so its WIDER  for bearing interface area .

End View of inboard end of flap .

Ruler etc showing ' sector ' ply ( 1/16 . aint got no thirty two ) faces 3/16 odd at LE of flap , almost 5/8 " aft . So, theyre Tapered AND Tapered .

Essentially , It THIS plus 18 inches on the nose , and a differant wing. As you may well have seen .
Plus a ' 3 port ' ST 60 PDP . ( A 1970 OS 80 in the Typhoon due to its prospensity for tourque . And Weight . only 1 Oz Noseweight )
We wont mention the other weight ( O/A ) .
Thus is the determination to do the fuselage moulded . Tho it wont be as durable , the plug will suit also a second Typhoon . It will be worth it .

I'm concerned about a steel welded leadout guide.  You then must compensate with extra weight on the outboard wingtip.  The light ply guides are completely adequate, and light in weight.

22 Oz ( With Pins ) and inc. 1.25 Oz Flap Horn . And rather stiff 1/2 sheet flaps . Before flatting off and dressing in sanding . As it is there .

Dual rib edge ( 3/16 deep outer ) at diheadral break . Unglued til Arildite at fitting outer skins  . So a ' T ' of Adhesive along the join .
HENCE the Masking Tape or it tends to get messy .
Was anticipateing doing nice ROUND wingtips , However ;

Theres a few of these ' Walkarounds ' on the knett ,
 wkertempest.se/index.php/indetail/walkarounds/298-walkaround-hawker-tempest-mk-v-tt-nv778
Zillions of pretty pictures .  :P Just as well , too .

When I went to Hendon in 1989 the Typhoon, Tempest and Fury were lined up together and were painted in late camo and looked so great. I hate the target tug paint on the Tempest. Sometimes actual airframe historic paint sucks.
