Model Aviation CL scale Column Correction
« on: November 21, 2014, 07:25:03 PM »
I guess I didn't read proof read the column carefully enough before it got printed....Bob Whitney's 1/2a scale model at the 2014 Nats was not flying with an 0.61 size engine....! I not sure a 1/2a scale model could even stay together with a .61 engine attached and it would go really fast.

it should have said .061 engine! My fault on that error

Not a big deal, Fred.  I think you are doing a great job with the column, so keep up the fine work.

So, if Cyclon made an 061, would it generate more power than a Brown Jr.?

And if you put a Brown Jr. on a 1/2A plane, would you have prop clearance?
AMA 64232

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Two pages out of 162.  Who says there's no CL in Model Aviation?

If it weren't for electric motors and radios in CL planes, we probably wouldn't even get this.
