Can anyone give me current information on Julie Abel? Julie was on the U S scale team in 1986.

Hello Allen;
I know Julie's brother Dan, who lives near me. If you have ever seen the AMA fil about flying control line scale models, it's Dan and his brother trying to start and fly the ducted fan MIG 15 that has trouble getting into the air. He works for one of the local regional airlines at Lambert Field. Still some what interested in models, and actually stopped by our Broken Arrow contest on Saturday this year. I'll forward your email info to him tonight.
I've asked him about Julie before and she is married and lives back east, I think , and works in IT in some fashion. I don't think she's been active in models for a long while.

yes they flew the Mig at our some what scale contest at Swope Park Mo. Circle wasn't really big enough to show its stuff. D>K

Glad to help. Can you give us a quick run down of the "interview." I'm curious if she has even a small interest in model any more. In talking with her brother, she doesn't but I'm curious what you heard from her. I would like to see many of out former junior and senior participants make the scene flying models again.
