D>K Did not have time to take pictures ,was to busy judging and static my own ships. Lots of C/L airplanes, some I have not seen before. Competition starts at 9:00 am, going to bed now. Will take pictures tomorrow.
Joke of the day; Jack Sheeks,ED. and I asked Ed Mason if his next trick would be a B-36. you know he competes with 2 B-17, this year he brought a B-29 too. Hope it doesn't drag him down the runway.
Hang on ED.......... LL~ LL~
Blessings

I enjoyed spending the morning with you static judging the profile scale entries. All of them were interesting models and some were unusual.
It appears that most of the entrants had read the NEW rules on how to do a profile model. The biggest problem I saw was the leaving off of the fillet radius on the Horizontal Stab and some even between the Vertical Stab and the body. I think this NATS proved the method suggested by Paul Smith that I used for the rules change proposal I submitted last year works. It is easier to judge the models when most of the model is true scale and only the body and engine nacelles are planks. Remember to locate the Nacelle planks centered on the full scale nacelle location. A good example was Pete Klepsic's B-25. The B-25 wing bend is just outboard of the engine nacelle. When you profile the nacelle it will end up farther away from the wing bend but the wing will be scale and the nacelles will be the right distance from the body center line and the wheel spacing will be scale.

My brother took one shot of the score board, but didn't get the others. For those interested:

I have lots of pictures, but the site rejected the post because it was over 1Mb in size. When that happens, you lose the text as well as the links and I don't have time to do it over right now. I suppose the alternative is to post several posts with a few pix in each, that requires more time to do.
