Scale at the FCM at AMA
« on: August 17, 2009, 02:03:34 PM »
Well I've read a lot of talk about scale (rules, lack of competition, to few contest.etc.) , if we don't use it, we loss it. Last year Columbus, Oh., Huntersville, N.C. and others tried to hold a scale contest, and no one showed. FCM has been blessed with a great turnout each year, along with, John Brodaks contest, and the contest in St Louis, Mo. The only way we'll have more scale competition is to support what's going on now. Hope to see you all this Sat. at AMA. #^ #^ #^

Blessings
Allen

I'll be there as will Richard Schneider who is coming all the way from Ballground, Georgia. Cleaned all the castor sludge out of the Fox .25 in my Fun Scale 1/12th scale Tiffie today and will try to run the engine tomorrow. Parts for the engine in my big Sport Scale Tiffie are on backorder, so will cobble together some documentation and present my D3A1 Val for it's first go at static judging. Old faithful dH 103 Hornet in profile. Richard told me what he is bringing, but confused me by changing his mind, so I forgot. Too much for a senior citizen to remember. And I deleted the email.

Temperature forecast looks outstanding.

Great Chuck, looking foreward to this weekend. Are judges for this year will be Jack Sheeks and Clancy Arnold, two of the best officials you could have. Charlie Bauers said he would be here, as did several others. Have a safe trip all.

Blessings

Allen,
Tell Jack to bring his Val. He agreed to fly it in formation with mine.

Chuck, I just called Jack and had to leave a message. So he knows and I hope it comes off, I want to get it on video.

I talked to Jack last night and he said he would need a substitute pilot.
