I like the 8am start time better. Also remember write down the aircraft type on large printed score sheet, it really helps on figuring out who is flying what model for the Nats News coverage.

This is was on the AMA website for the CL scale dates and times, Stan had some wrong information in his March 2020 RC scale column. He is saying that the RC scale will be happening from July 16-19. To be clear the CL scale will be on July 17-19...

Question - So the RC guys are flying on Friday while we are doing our static judging. It sounds like RC and CL scale will be doing the static judging on different days.

Hopefully people do not use the information in Stan's column for the CL scale schedule

According to this it just got cancelled.  NOTICE: THE 2020 AMA SCALE NATIONALS BOTH RC AND CL SCALE HAS BEEN CANCELLED. From Mike Barbee: The board members and officers of NASA have unanimously voted and decided to cancel the 2020 Scale R/C & C/L Nationals. This decision was made because of the risk of the Covet 19 virus and time and financial constraints brought on by the virus to competitors and spectators. We believe that this is both a logical and safe decision. We are however still planning on the NASA Scale Classic to be held September 10-13th at AMA. The qualification process for this event will NOT be in effect. Everyone is invited to come out and participate in this season end event. We will keep close watch on Government mandates and recommendations leading up to this time.

Steve, the NASA Scale Classic is supposed to have both R/C and C/L. I flew in it in 2018. I never saw any publicity related to C/L after the 2019 event so I don't know if there was an event. Publicity before the event was pretty vague too.

The AMA is going to make a final decision if the Nats are going to happen on June 10th, RC/CL scale and RC aerobatics SIG groups have announced that their events were going to be cancelled.
