The scheduled nine events of the T&D were reduced to three due to high wind on Saturday and heavy rain and water on the field Sunday. Makeup dates and venues are under discussion.
The events that were flown were LA25 Race, Profile Scale, and Jim Walker Event.
Four contestants braved the nasty breezes. No models were lost, but Jacks Skyrocket was beginning to come apart due to cross wind.
1st Chris Brownhill, Hanley Page Hampton, 165.5
2nd Paul Smith, Nakijima Ki-27 Nate, 149.0
3rd Jack Humphries, Fairey Battle and Grumman Skyrocket, 146.5
4th, Lenny Bourel, Hanger 9 PT-19, 76.5
T&D rules allow you to double-enter scale.
Jack deployed both of his models, but both finished 3rd.
I chickened out of flying my Bearcat, due to excessive side area, but rather used my Brodak WWII combat Nate. It handled the wind well, but took the expected no-throttle beating on points.
Chris's twin OS-15 Hampton continued it's domination of the venue, and did pretty-much its usual stuff despite the gusting gale. His special option was starting two APC-propped 15's with his bare hands on both attempts.

Combat: FAI F2D Rules. Speed limit = 80 MPH
Special events: Jim Walker, LA25 Race & Balloon bust, kind of complicated to list here.

Jim Walker Event includes
30 points for static: realism, originality, and workmanship.
30 points for speed under a handicap system that effectively forces you to use a .23 or less to win.
40 points for stunt, which is preformed or the same flight as the speed run.
This is CL's closest approach to Red Bull racing.
