Title: p-51 props and spinners
Post by: fernando torres on September 03, 2011, 05:35:00 AM
Where can I find 4 blade props and spinners for a p-51?  With regard to spinners, the ones I have seen look" too pointy" not to scale.

Tru-Turn  has 4 bladed spinners,  If you start with their home page go to spinners - shapes - size - etc.  By the way they come in colors but they are anadized which is shinney.  I suppect you will have to paint.  They are aluminum so probbly will need priming.

APC makes 4 bladed props.   What size P-51 are you building?  Electric or gas?

what i do ,because i dont fly with that , only for show, is buy 2 props  the same make sure they are exactly the size  you want. put it on a band saw and cut off   around the hub , lay your other one out  the two halfs will now make your 4 blader. rough up  lay flat the areas to be epoxied togther stick um togther now get your spinner and cut to fit  H^^
