Somebody actually did a flying model of this odd Russian beastie from the 1930's. The original didn't work out and ended up crashing after a short flying career. There are some nicely faked photos based on this thing floating around on the internet where they make it look like it's about the size of three 747's and they added more engines and in some pics even added a battleship turret.

I've seen pictures of this monster.  Looks like the pilot knew what he was doing.   It has to be number one for worlds ugliest airplane.
