All C/L Scale pilots who plan on competing in the NASA Scale Classic in Lexington, KY. you need to start registering for your events.
http://www.nasascale.org/forms/nsc-reg.htm
Fun scale & 1/2A scale are open to everyone. Sport & Profile are invitation only. You can earn an invitation by placing in one of these "OPEN" contest; Carmichael's, PA., the Nats, Dayton, OH., Sugar Grove, IL. and St Louis, MO.
We hope to make this event equal to that of the "Scale Masters" and "Top Gun". And controline scale can be a part of that. #^
If you have never competed in C/L scale give it a shot by starting in 1/2A or Fun scale at this contest. Also, if you can build but are not able to fly because of a physical condition you can use a "proxy" pilot. (it's AMA legal)
Any question drop me a PM; fcm95@comcast.net

As of 7/27/2015 there are 41 c/l aircraft listed on the NASA web site. BUT you must register as some have already done. Even if you are in question if you can make it, register anyways, it wont cost you a cent.
I need to have the necessary forms & paperwork ready for flight order and class order. I need your registration in planning the time frame we'll have to work with too, as we'll have only one circle to fly on.
This event will be ran same as the "Nats".
Fri;.............. Static.
Sat. & Sun.... Flying two rounds each day.
One more item, this will be the last C/L scale competition for 2015, you'll want to be a part of it. See you there.

A couple of observations from the weekend.
When all the planes were lined up on the runway I was impressed how many people were drawn to the 1/2A models. Lots of camera clicks. Also, Ed Mason's planes were a big hit. Several people made a point to come over and watch them fly, especially the Constellation.
I had a great time.

Always Interesting to see how the Average flight score changes the outcome of the results like in Fun Scale. The flight scores in Sport Scale were really close which means the Static score determined the overall places.
Congrats to Ed Mason for 1st place in Fun Scale
