I decided to build an exact scale model of my 1946 Cessna 120.
It's powered by an MP 060.
Let me know what you think.

Looks good. How's it fly?

Love the last picture. This is the angle a scale ship should be shot from. Do I understand you also have the full size also. Should make it east to get scale doc pictures LOL. Hope it flyes as good as it looks.

Job well done. I may do a WW2 Jap Zero as I have a scale kit. Have a nice OS .28F RC doing nothing at this time. Hope your new bird does well for you.

I do not see the N number on the side and the red stripe does not terminate at the front per the aircraft modeled. You have not entered it at a scale contest yet but now you see what needs to be done.
It looks great and should fly well.
I just could not resist JUDGING it, hope to get to judge it for real some time.

Clancy; Bob must be trying out a scheme to repaint the front of his 120.
Really cool, Bob.

You mean paint the prototype aircraft to match the model then photograph the prototype after repainting. Good Plan!!

So cool!!
How many people get to say they can fly the model and the real thing?

Finding that 12:1 scale silkspan may be a challenge, though.

Neat little plane Bob, very nicely done. I'm curious though, why did you run the red stripes straight off the nose instead of duplicating the full scale scheme?

Marcus,
I can say that for two models.
The first was Mr. G's Republic Seabee. Built this long before I had time in a Republic Seabee aircraft. Mr. G also produced a Grumman Widgeon. I had this kit also but lost interest and sold it. Today, collectors look for both these kits. ! have no left seat time in a Widgeon but I do have a 55" span ARF Widgeon I'll be bashing for CL.
The second was Pilot's Lake Buccaneer. Not sure if this kit is still available? Built this model while I owned a Lake LA4-200T. Put in over 500 hours in Lake aircrafts. Great STOL aircraft.
The good old days!
