Hello all!
I would like to introduce this prooject we have been working on for several months, the development of this new handle. With an integrated 2.4GHz transmitter, it brings the ergonomics and reliability of traditional grips but with the ability to extend the control and safety of your model. Initially we are thinking about Scale and Carrier flight modes but we plan to expand the project later to Stunt.

Some of the functionalities we have developed so far include:
- Throttle control and 2 auxiliary channels (for flaps, retracts, or whatever u want to add) with the possibility of expansion in the near future to 6 or more chanels.
- Screen with intuitive menus and joystick for navigation.
- Creation of up to 4 models and custom settings for circular flight.
- Slide & Lock mechanism for quick model exchange.
- Over 50 meters signal range
- Over 170lb pull test
- More than 4h of autonomy with a single 18650 cell.

One of our collaborators and test pilot will be Bob Whitney, an incredible pilot and outstanding judge in the world of line control. With his vast experience, Bob is providing valuable insights and reviewing our 2.4 GHz LineMaster control prototype. His confidence in our project is a testament to the seriousness and strength of our proposal. When the prototype is ready, Bob will be our test pilot, ensuring that the 2.4 GHz LineMaster meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

Bob brought a prototype to the Nats for everyone to examine.  The contruction and functionality look great - so much better than all the "homebuilt" handles that I have seen.  I will definitely buy one when they are available.  Thanks Bob for sharing it Bob.

Nice handle, make additional bars available for people who have a dedicated set of lines for a model so that the handle can be moved from one airplane to another

I find that the ability to detatch the "radio" portion from the "lines" portion to have appeal. Not only can you have setups for multiple models without having to readjust the handle every time, you can also take the "radio" to the airplane to manipulate the throttle for starting and tuning the engine. Personally I would feel better with the safety thong actually looping around the "lines" part of the handle for added safety.

There could be a problem using the neat feature to remove the handle from the lines during engine start procedures. Removing the actual handle from the part attached to the lines and then reconnecting it is similar to removing a conventional handle from the lines by removing the line connectors and then reconnecting them. In each case, in competition the control system would have to be pull tested again. This problem does not occur in systems where the radio component is separate from the handle component and only the radio is removed, leaving the handle-lines connection intact.

I think this is a great ideal.  Back in 2014 I repackaged an RC car Tx & Rx to fit on top of a control line handle.  Worked great.  I haven't flown scale in years but your unit looks great.  My only question due to the low volume demand for U-control stuff will it be affordable to have parts molded?  Pictures attached of my one of a kind from 2014.  I used it in a Brodak LA-5 electric.

I saw these at Muncie.  You can't hardly compete without them.
I expect to need three for scale and six for carrier as soon as I get the airplanes ready.

I notice that the throttle is spring loaded trigger.  How hard is it to control up down while holding a steady trigger setting. on my home brew units the throttle was set with a slide switch under the thumb.  Once set it stayed put.  Just wondering from the people that have used a trigger throttle how does it feel.  Is it hard to hold a steady throttle setting and fly the airplane?  Just wondering?

There is a version with a slider for throttle control instead of a trigger. The trigger version was developed for carrier pilots in mind.

As Pete Mazur pointed out, removing the line bar to take the rest of the handle to the airplane for starting would run afoul of the pull test rules in competition. If you had a complete handle with a detachable transmitter, this issue would be eliminated.

UInderstood! interesting observation

What is the model memory for this? I currently use my spektrum radio and and it has a memory for 250 models. more than I need of course. Or do you have to buy a handle for each model as you cannot bind multiple receivers to the radio on this handle?

The last prototype was able to store up to 4 models, but just to simplify testing, the storage capacity should be enough to store at least 10 models. And each model is linked to a different receiver as with regular radio controls.
