The first time that I saw this concept was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2001 when I  was assigned to do some cut-a-way airbrush graphics for my colleagues at The PhantomWorks.
Strange that this now shows up after all these years...AS SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW?
Thus proving that aerodynamic engineers keep going back "to nature." to try and learn all the secrets that come so easily for "FISH" that swim and "BIRDS" that fly.  H^^ y1 H^^
