Brodak's new Spirit of Yesteryear Gee Bees
« on: November 12, 2010, 07:34:27 PM »
You might have noticed; Brodak has picked up the former Spirit of Yesteryear kit lines.  Included in those are the Henry Haffke designed Stand-off Scale Gee Bee "D" amd "E" that I think were originally kitted by Coverite(?)  These are 54" span, and seem to have pretty good proportions - seems like they would fly well.

I do not know how accurate these are but it seems like they would make nice sport scale (fun scale?) models.

Hi warbird....just type Spirit of Yesteryear into the search function at Brodaks web site.  Neat stuff.

On the Brodak site, follow the menu on the LH side to the bottom - the "Spirit of Yesteryear" link.  From what I understand Brodak's plans on offering the complete SOY line which incudes SAM legal models and numerous RC sport models.

Leester, according to the 'legend' printed below the depiction, they are die cut. They mention that they have 'sharpened up' the tooling...
If I remember correctly, they were for R/C, but easily converted to C/L.
