First try the AMA web site for "NATS NEWS", then select the dates.

Note:  They had a problem and the NATS NEWS for 7/31, 8/1 and 8/2 are not posted yet.

I have some pics and will post them later today, I left my camera at AMA and will retrieve it this morning. What F U N this "Nats" was. We had to deal with wind and debris on the circles. (goose poop, broken tie straps) What was really fun for me was a tight race with John and Peter in Sport scale. Not to mention the team trials for the US C/L Scale team. The wind eat us up on Saturday, and some planes were not air worthy for Sun. but our team is solid ( Steve, Frank, and Richard). I got one successful flight on my Ryan, but Richard got me by 20 points. And watching Ed Mason and his two B-17s fly was great, hearing four engines running and that big bird in the air, WOOOOW. Jack Sheeks and his crew did a fantastic job staying on top or ahead of the weekend, thanks Jack and crew. Will post more later today. To all scale guys and gals, remember the FCM contest back here in Muncie on Sat. Aug. 22nd. Fun, Profile, and Sport scale.

Blessings

Clancy; Just a word about your U/Tronic system. It worked very well for me at the Nats, it couldn't have been better. Anyone looking for a control system for your scale, try one of these, they work........ Also, great to hear you are going to judge at the FCM. Many pilots from the Nats said they would be there. #^ #^ #^

One of the great things about this nats was the presence of the Jensons as a father & son team (dad James) and a father daughter team consisting of the Alberty's  That was a great encouragement to me when coupled with Charlie Baur and his son and grandsons.  Family participation is absolutely the BEST.
