I am turning in the April 2016 CL scale column in about a week and these are the CL scale contests that I know that are in the planning stages with dates and locations confirmed. If you know of any more CL scale contests that have been confirmed reply with the details so I can get you some free advertising in the CL scale column. I only need the dates, location and the name of the contest for this listing at this point.
If you have a club website reply with the link so I can get the word out on this also

The Airstormers are holding a Spring Tune Up at their site in Indiantown, FL on March 5th and 6th. This is a great site, with three grass circles, running water, a pavilion, electricity, etc. Plus food on site!
Saturday will feature OTS, Nostalgia N-30 and Fun Scale 2000. Write us for Fun Scale 2000 rules.
Sunday will feature all three classes of PA.
No BOM any class.
If there is interest, we may fly Profile Scale and Sport Scale (combined) on Sunday as well.....let us know!
Photo plaques to three places.
Contact us for more info!
Thanks
See Ya

Fred,
We do not have a firm date yet, but plans are underway for the next (9th ?) annual Tucson 1cc Multi-Engine Scale Contest. It will be held the first or second weekend in October. Rules similar to last year as on the Cholla Choppers website. One addition is that a Musciano type event will be held on that Saturday as a separate activity from our regular Limited and Unlimited categories.
The event is no longer limited to only profile models. The rules are set up such that a profile does not have a distinct disadvantage. In other words, a good profile model can outscore a not so good non-profile model.
As always, proxy pilots can be used.
Keith

Will the NW Regionals be a Qualifier for the Classic? There are only two CL scale contests on the west coast and that one is great. Attended that contest for many years while I lived on the west coast.

Fred, they have not made application to become a "qualifyer" for the NSC.

I sent John Thompson an email, both you and Fred were cc'd, asking if they were interested. John has replied that he forwarded my message to the contest management. I am waiting for a response.

I am going to talk to Pat Johnston this weekend regarding this, Him and I are the Scale judges,, ( so yes get your bribes in early LOL)
we will talk about logistics and it would be helpfull if we knew if this will potentially increase the entry level for Scale, as it affects our involvment in other events..
