Just finished a 1/2 A scale model of the Ansaldo SVA-5.
Hope the pictures come out.  The most unusual feature is the fuselage having a rectangle Cross section back to the rear of the engine and then a triangle cross section from behind the cockpit to the tail.  In the third photo note the cockpit floor is a triangle.

    A very nice looking model. 1/2a is a nice size to turn out a bunch of models. Please let us know how it flies. I have a 1/2a Sopwith Camel on the way. I have crashed my 1/2a DR1 which was from a Black Hawk kit. The engine quit while I was inverted trying to do a lazy eight. I broke the top wing off and all of the struts.

Weather here in Indiana finally improved.  Made a test flight today on the SVA-5.  It was squirrelly.  wanted to hunt in the vertical direction.  The model balances 1/2 inch back on a 3 1/2 cord wing.  Jack Sheeks warned me that I should not put incidence in the lower wing.  I think he is right.   One thing this flights short ending did was knock most of the wing struts loose.  The top wing was cocked about 1/4 inch when compaired to the bottom wing until now.  When I went to reinstall the struts the wings are now in alignment?

Also flew two other new models today.  A Baby Barnstormer re-engined from a COX to a Wen-Mack .049 and a 290 Special with a McCoy 049.  The 290 Special will be used to teach my grandsons how to fly C/L.  They watched Grandpa today, even showed them how dangerous props are!
