Due to scheduling conflicts NASA made a request to the Lafayette Esquadrille CL club in St Louis, MO to combine NASA's effort for the 2025 CL scale Classic and our traditional CL scale contest to be one in the same.

To be clear we are not hold two separate contests on the same weekend but one CL scale contest hosted by the Lafayette Esquadrille CL club for CL scale. So if you want to fly in the NASA CL CLassic for 2025 come to the Broken Arrow CL scale contest on Sept 20.

This is a fantastic C/L facility - the circles are great.  Looking forward to next September with some new models.

Hello all,

I don't have the contest sanction applied for yet but that will be happening this coming week. Scale will have full use of the main flying circle on Sat Sept 20. We will static judge first and then fly after Static judging. Since this is our Broken Arrow CL scale contest and also fills in for the CL Scale NASA Classic we can expect more competition that normal. Two contests all being done at one contest.

This contest also has Stunt being flown - Semi-Scale stunt models can be flown in Fun Scale. I can help with the documentation if I have a picture of the model to be flown. I can also help to pick out what options to pick for the scale flight based upon what features the model has.

If the model is electric and uses a timer for the stunt flying you can replace the timer with a 2.4 Ghz RC receiver, you now have throttle control without changing anything else on the model. If you are interested in this adaptation to the model let me know I show you how to get it done. You would buy a 2 channel 2.4 Ghz RC car unit (transmitter and receiver). You hold the RC car unit with the trigger in your left hand and fly with your right hand with the same set of lines you would use for CL stunt. The only difference is the RC receiver replaces the timer and fly with the RC Car transmitter in your other hand. I am assuming also that the ESC has the BEC function (Battery Eliminator circuit). This allows the main flight battery to power the receiver.

Fred,

Lori and I are going to try to make it. I probably won't have the Mustang done. I will keep you posted.
