Hello all,

All Buder Park CL Fun Fly - Aug 27, St Louis MO
Midwest Regional Championships – Sept 3-4, Aurora, IL (Scale on the 4th)
NASA CL Scale Classic – Sept 10, Muncie IN

Fred, I believe the Nats dates are incorrect.

Frank hasn't been around much. He lives on the east side of the river and needs a ride to make meetings and such. I don't recall the last time he came out to the filed but when he did his son brought him out. I believe his wife passed away a while back, also. I don't think he has done any model airplane building, but instead has discovered paper models of castles and other structures and is enjoying them. Frank is a great guy, and few have as long of and distinctive history in models as Frank has. Hi first published designs go way back into the early 50s, I think and he always cranked out great, unusual subjects. I was honored one time many years ago when he asked me to fly one of his scale models, a Stitts Playboy I think it was, and I was nervous as a cat. I had not had a lot of three line time at that point and was really surprised he asked me, but if flew like a dream and after a few laps I was shooting three point landings that impressed him!  Frank himself is a classic in that he's one of the few guys I know that still rocks a pencil thin mustache! Tell Shirley hello from all the St. Louis guys!
