In the process of reviewing and revising the 1/2a scale rules for the St Louis Lafayette Esquadrille CL club I have discovered that there is a good number of 1/2a scale contests that are going to be held in 2014

Check with the club website and AMA contest calendar for the exact dates and call the CD to verify the data before traveling to the contest

Also if you want to fly fast Jim Roselle is having a postal contest for stand-off scale 1/2a powered models (.049 max), and there is no static judging....
Registration closes in Apri of 2014 so now is the time to build. The model has to resemble a full size aircraft, the markings and color is not scale
Read the rules there are some differences on the engines that area allowed

For the Tucson meet we're still diddling with the dates....probably October 11-12, although those dates are pending approval by the Parks & Rec. Department.  Should have firm dates by the time the VSC rolls around in March.

Some changes now being made to our rules here, mostly concerning earlier start/end times.  We may make some other adjustments as time goes by.
