Sig Mustang wing extra special
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:13:08 AM »
In more than 40 years of doing business in the hobby community I have been "stiffed" on an order only two times. That's pretty good I guess, considering the thousands of transactions I've been involved with with modelers. Modelers are the best bet for honesty and integrity in my experience.

Unfortunately, one of those bad transactions just happened. A man ordered a Sig Mustang wing from me and wanted it complete with three-section coring, molded leading edge caps, and landing gear clips and plates installed. He told me on the phone, "Don't worry, I'm good for the money." I guess a red flag should have gone up in my mind with that statement. I made the wing and then called the number he had given me. He said he was out of town (Apparently he is the clutch man for a noted Top-Fuel operation in the drag racing community). He said he would send me a money order for the wing. I got the impression that he wanted me to ship the wing at that time and wait for the money order. I'm a bit smarter than that...

Anyway, the money order never arrived and repeated calls to the number I had for him only resulted in a woman calling me back and yelling at me to never call that number again. Yikes!

The upshot is, I have this really beautiful covered and sanded foam wing here. The list price of this wing with this amount of work is $285.00. I'll let it go to the first person who calls for $125.00, plus shipping. I can deliver this wing to the Nats if that is an option. My phone number is 610-746-0106.
