Title: Lost Foam Scaling
Post by: Motorman on May 09, 2017, 10:09:39 PM
Can you take a full sized Thundergazer wing and scale it down to something smaller and make a lost foam system for it?

I made a couple of wings 575 Sq. In. at about 92% (biggest size I can fit in my car). The frame comes out of the jig straight but I can't put the leading edge shell on in the jig and I'm having trouble getting it on without twisting. I think your system solves that problem but can you make my size?

Thanks,
MM

Yup! Just need a drawing of the root and tip templates and a planform drawing showing the panel spans and the spar location.

I have the planform drawing but, long story short, I'd like a copy of your tip and root templates for the Thundergazer so I can match them to the plans I have.

Whoever drew these (rsm) plans used a different airfoil and the tip/root templates he has on here don't match the wing plans anyway.
