Title: Torque Roll
Post by: john e. holliday on October 03, 2016, 10:58:14 AM

This is copy of E-mail I received.  I couldn't get the address/pdf of the newsletter to work.

Gentlemen

Due to a change in NCLRA policy, all members current and past with an active email address in the NCLRA system, will receive the bi-monthly issues of Torque Roll. We have removed the membership fee, and the issues are now free for everyone to enjoy.

Note that this applies to Electronic copies only.

You will be able to view the Torque Roll issues on the website if that is your preference.

Paper copies will still be available, but will cost $10.00 U.S. per year.

Regards, Les Akre

It was an attachment to the e-mail, John.

But all that aside, go to http://www.nclra.org/TorqueRoll/2016-10.pdf

At the recent "Fall Finale" contest in Dallas, I talked to Les about an article on Sport Goodyear as a fun race venue that was written with the help of Phil Dunlap. Bill Lee recalls it being published in TR, but, I never saw it (Turns out I had my membership lapsed, ugh!) Les explained the pdf location for the back issues of Torque Roll, and in a nutshell, it is really great. There is a LOT of good information for everyone.

But, having gone through the back issues, I have missed the Sport Goodyear article. Should anyone happen to run across it, please let me know its whereabouts.

Thanks and fly safely,
dale g

Edit: I found the article I was searching for, at last.
Thanks,
dg
