Up the Garden Path & Back to where we started .  %^@
http://www.nclra.org/TorqueRoll/2011-02.pdf

various permentations of Good Year . Control Line & other exotic words in Google Pics get variouscombinations of drawings ( and pictures ) followable back ' to source ' ,

likea these Eh .

and otheres for inspiration on PAINT WORK ! ( for the Antipodians  S?P) .( And other Island Races . though pomis NOT a RACE . Unless theyre Scotish , etc )
http://if1airracing.com/IF1Web/index_htm_files/Mar1993pdf.pdf

Im Thinking the ORIGINAL INTENT was , as per Mag. articalas , so people could get out and have a ' Scale Model Aero Race ' , on a sunny afternoon . Or sometimes othertimes .
Without necesarilly getting to Het Up & Intense about it .

Original Plans etc are traceable Via hippocket , R.C. Groups " C/L " section , - under    ' Racing Plans ' etc etc , AND the F1 Mag as above Via Google Pics .

So get a chip off the old block , and whittle it into a wing . A FIRST C/L Aeroplane can be a Trainer ( maybe a 8x4 prop .) then a introduction to carving it up , in the middle , with a 7x8 or suchlike ( Changed from 2nd to 4th Gear )

Its Not necesary or essential to get all teched up , A flat 1/2 Sheet Fuse & 1/4 Sheet ( Hard ) wing with rounded edges wont be much slower , and the Colonials run Speed Limit G/Y anyway . Just Glue it well .

GENTLEMEN , Start Your Engines ,  :)

nutha Shoestring , a bit moe mellow . These From warren From up the line , here .

The Busta, er . ER .

BOTH suitable as a FIRST Control Line ER .  :) LL~ LL~ mw~ mw~

Theres a Bonzo too - for those new to the game .

a bit off sandpaper & a buster , & youd have it . If it was called ' Bonza ' it'd be the Std Aussie Plane ! . S?P

nuther coupler well likeder ones .

mentions Deerfly / falcon Spl in Org. Artical with this as being the same Airframe . they often evolved , changed hands and were modded over the years.

hence theres a plethoria of variations built ( Full Size ) from the Cassutt & Shoestring Plans , and Updates . So no ones stuck for variety , or choice .

an example . falcon Spl. ( at that stage ) Two Canopies somewhat dissimiler , Along with the paint .

Pommy Falcon Spl / deerfly build thread - https://controllineblog.wordpress.com/2016/02/11/models-british-goodyear/

Plan Mentioed in disertion .

( innocent whistling ' I Know Nuthing ' Icon )

We'll leave it to the experts for the exotica and hardwear . Though the KIWI Open 3.5 cc on 60' wires has some merit , if a .40 open rats to deep a pool . so they say . :-X
( thatll either start a war , or provoke someone to post a real open G/Y race  ;))

Bolt in an OS 25 . ;D

Brother had his 3rd recent  flight after 40 years layoff , from a hand launch , yesterday .
Muffler on it , 7 x 8 Tornado , roughly Diesel ( 85 mph ) slow pace , straight off . 10% Nitro stunt fuel .

OS 20 & 25 fit eta holes , as does the FSR , FP 20 / 25 etc .

A 20-23 will nail in the G-15 holes .

Likely notta bad idea for getting a few practise hours in , without tearing up your race motor .
And Proves a novice mug can hangf on without dramas , solo at least . Dual Elevators ,
rather than the single ' trim tab ' many use , Better for kicking the speed off for quicker
deceleration at stops , too .

YES , still a way to go with the finish , blue stripes or Red , looks like I have to fork out for some blue paint .  :(
Rustoleum White undercoat & undercoat / paint on it , will wash'n rub back , epoxie a few knicks & dings ,
then break out the masking tape . Fuel Tanks dubious , a cut out's ' on order .
Looks like I'll throw in a ' wobbly leg ' monowheel box , U.C. should be part of the build anayisis , but prevaricated & pressed on .
%^#*! thing flys at least , and Not To Bad . Two Others underway . Fuse Reinforcers and U.C. for them under consideration .
Thinking just glassing the Ginny Fuse should be enough , The flash open shoestring might get a carbon yacht sail batten down
the thrust line . Or Maybe I should do another with it , so Ive Got TWO Shoestrings , the rest to do & theyll be finished .  :P

Sig Kits for beginers , its best just about stock , with a cut off maybe and epoxy impregnated tissue . 10 hour or less , Build Time , that way - your not forever pontificateing over meticulous details of hi fangled etceras . :(
Did it a few coats of dope on wood , H' Wt tissue , maybe stuck on with thinners Then / Or Warmed Aryldite scrubbed in , and spread with a plastic card ? spreader . Paper kitchen Towels used to sponge excess ( Wot Excess )
Needs another thin coat really . Original 76 Ginny was Aryldite / Tissue , Elasticity let it flex without cracking up , and kept the insides inside .

21M is off geting a bit of carving done , should be good to go , in the Cotes Shoestring soon . 25 FSR for a hack / practise engine . Nest thingll be Glass or C.F. props . >:( ' Slow Goodyear at least KEEPS THE COSTS DOWN .

going to ' borrow ' the lot , on this ,  ;) not sure I consider abduction a service , but abducting the abducted , Liberating It , may well be .  ;D
